I thought I knew the name of these. But when I researched I was incorrect. Someone fill me in if you know. I really liked the way they looked. Anyway I think they are pretty pinkish/purplish "summer" flowers.

I think they are primroses, but how big are they? Primroses are usually and inch or so in width.
Japanese Anemones! My favorites! And not all that easy to find in the garden shops these days. I keep digging them up from the garden of our house in Indiana and replanting them in our Ohio garden but they've stubbornly resisted the move. Did you notice the wonderful little buds before they open? Perfect little balls and the opened individual petals look like beautiful pink shells.
i am what i am......why can't it just be what it is?

My goal in art, photography and my writing is to express my emotions, thoughts, feelings, and occasionally opinions. I think color is the most important thing, along with sounds (music), taste and smells. Art should be something that heightens the senses, all of them.

Whatever they are, they sure are pretty!
All I can say is STUNNING!!!
Gorgeous shot...love the shadows and bokeh! I was thinking it might be an anemone.
They are Japanese anemones, and nicely shot ones too. You have made them glow.

Very pretty picture. I love the bright pink flowers that stand out against the background.
