Broken - Day 211 - Butterfly

Though you probably can't tell if from this shot, this buttefly was broken. He was a newborn and seemed to have the failure to thrive syndrome. His keepers said he probably wouldn't be around tomorrow. They told me his body was to heavy for the wings and he just kept flopping instead of flying. Poor thing, that's so sad.

Bet you went to one of those Butterfly Circuses where they train the butterflies with whips and chairs to sit still for you photographers, hope they charged you a packet! Don't think I like you.

So sad, at least he got to enjoy a last meal (I know, that was really bad)! Beautiful shot!

This is a beautiful shot. Love the contrast between the dark wings and the orange. Also, gorgeous bokeh!

This is such a beautiful picture. The bright orange ancors the picture so well. The DOF is great. I hate that the story was so sad, but nature does take it course.

How sad that he didn't get the chance to spread his wings and fly - but you've captured him in a lovely photo! Great colors and composition.
